The Liberty nickel was minted during a time when the west was still wild, when pioneers were populating the country and when a pocket knife would come in handy. The Liberty Nickel was first minted in 1883 and was designed by Charles E. Barber. The five cent piece features Miss Liberty facing left surrounded by 13 stars. The 1883, First Year of Issue Liberty Nickel is the focus of the black wood pocket knife. The 3.75 inch stainless steel bladed knife is the perfect gift for an outdoorsman, coin collector or Mr. Fix It with the Engravable plate suitable for monogramming. The knife with alloy antiqued handle measures 8.5 inches long by 1.13 inches wide. It easily fits into a pocket and is 4.75 inches when folded closed. The pocket knife comes in a blue pouch and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Mint marks will vary.
