The gold tone Christmas tree is decorated with clear glass rhinestone garland and multi-colored glass ornaments, in the center is a genuine .900 silver Mercury Dime. The Mercury Dime was minted from 1916 to 1945 and features lady liberty with a winged cap symbolizing freedom of thought. The word liberty surrounds her head and In God We Trust is next to the base of her neck on the coin. The silver dime was designed by Adolph A. Weinman. The brooch measures 2 1/2 by 1 7/8 inches and has a brass pin back closure. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
